all lives can’t matter until black lives matter

i honestly can’t believe i have to post about this but an innocent man was shot by the police.

when will it stop?

when will the color of someone’s skin finally stop mattering?

when will the systemic racism be a nonexistent thing of the past?

why can’t we fix this problem?

jacob blake was shot seven times in the back by the very men who are supposed to protect innocent civilians like him.

jacob blake was shot seven times in front of his children because of the color of his skin.

it sickens me.

his children will never unsee that image.

he will never walk again.

why have we let it get this bad? why has america let the people in power become so corrupt that they would rather trade cheap insults than deal with the real issues?

i’m ashamed to be a citizen of the united states of america. we don’t feel very united right now, do we?

we never were. not really.

this country was built on a foundation of misogyny and racism and its been passed down from generation to generation. it’s horrifying and it’s disgusting.

breonna taylor was murdered by police 166 days ago and her killers still roam free.

george floyd was murdered by police on may 25th and nothing has changed.

elijah mcclain was murdered by police on august 24th 2019.

they were all innocent, all killed because of the color of their skin.

there is no excuse for this. none.

change has to happen.

why hasn’t it happened already?

  1. Nothing about this is ok. It make my stomach churn. No one deserves to be treated like that. I hurt for his children. I know what it’s like to see someone you love weak and hurting, let alone being shot for no reason. Black lives matter. The sooner everyone can see that, the better.

  2. It sadness me greatly that this is still allowed to happen. How can one person think they are more valuable than another just because of the color of their skin? That is like me walking up to someone wearing a pink shirt and deciding, ‘I’m wearing a green shirt and so I must be more valuable than that person with the pink shirt’. It makes no sense at all. And his children, I can’t imagine what that is like. It sadness me also because when police abuse their power like this, they cause the good police who aren’t racist to suffer along with them. Your actions always affect someone else. Thank you for this post!
